G and I have gotten very lucky since starting our travels. We arrived in Alabama April 1st and since then have had the pleasure of visiting not only two authors home towns, but also viewing the theatrical performances of their books. The first, was the birthplace of Harper Lee, Monroeville.
This quaint little town is also the home of Truman Capote.
We thoroughly enjoyed walking around the historic square and the theatrical performance.
While on our way to and from Monroeville we saw a good number of other interesting sites.
After this evening event we went camping, made a new friend, and then headed down to the GULF…did you know that white sand squeaks?
